Our Data Engineering team addresses key, data-driven value levers with independent data platforms and pipelines, interacting closely with specialist departments and stakeholders from all Group business areas. Collaboration with internal IT experts, specialized service providers and innovative partners from the data science, BI and data engineering environment complement your professional perspective. Your tasks
In your new role, you will be actively involved in the further development of our Azure Datalake, Databricks and MS SQL landscape in close connection with our SAP system world. There are no limits to your innovative spirit and you can contribute in a future-oriented, technical and architectural way.
Your tasks include:
- You will independently develop, maintain and expand data models and transformations, e.g. to provide data for reporting on Group-wide real estate valuation and the entire new construction business or key data use cases in the field of artificial intelligence
- You advise and support our internal customers in analyzing, designing and implementing their reporting and data transformation requirements for their use cases and also take on project management for selected projects
- You administer the data pipelines and application systems, work on support tasks in the Databricks, Azure Data Factory and MS SQL environment and ensure operations as part of a team
- You are actively involved in interdisciplinary teams of specialists and managers, in particular close cooperation with IT, data and AI experts in the Group and with the specialist product owners involved
- You are actively involved in the further development of the data engineering, analytics and AI toolstack and thus support the further development of the Group’s data strategy

Your profile
- You have successfully completed your studies in (business) computer science or have a comparable practical qualification
- You have professional experience in working with modern database technologies and in dealing with complex data engineering issues
- You have sound knowledge of the MS SQL environment (database design and data migration with the database tools SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, performance tuning)
- You have in-depth knowledge of building data lakes and cloud architectures, especially in dealing with Databricks, Azure Data Factory or comparable technologies
- You can actively contribute to the development of data models and layer architectures for structured and unstructured data
- You can demonstrate several years of professional experience in a consulting firm or in corporate IT
- In addition to being confident with SQL and T-SQL, you have programming skills in Python. Working with Visual Studio and DevOps is a matter of course for you
- You have analytical skills and recognize business contexts
- You speak and write fluent German and good English
- A high level of commitment and resilience, good problem-solving skills, motivation and team and goal orientation round off your profile
