Vitmark-Ukraine — a large Ukrainian FMCG company opens a competition for the position of Head of Trade Marketing Department (Food & Beverage)/Керівник відділу торговельного/ трейд-маркетингу (харчові продукти та напої) .
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements annual trade marketing plans aligned with brand and category objectives, considering marketing calendar, seasonality and market trends;
- Designs & incorporates trade activations guidelines regarding brands, sub-categories, skus and channels in cooperation with Distribution and KA teams in order to support effective customers planning;
- Manages trade development funds of key retailers and distributors, negotiating favorable contracts terms, pricing structures, and promotional placements for assigned brands;
- Collaborates with Marketing/Sales teams to ensure seamless integration of trade marketing initiatives with broader brand strategies;
- Develops and oversees the execution of in-store marketing campaigns, including promotional displays, product activations, and impactful point-of-sale (POS) materials;
- Generates merchandising standards implementation and plans execution guidelines by channel/customer/ category and brand. Actively participates in Category management projects in key customers, based on market, category and brand insights;
- Leads the development of targeted marketing materials and training programs for sales teams to improve product knowledge and sales effectiveness;
- Tracks and analyses the performance of trade marketing programs (e.g., sales uplift, promotional effectiveness) to measure ROI and identify areas for improvement;
- Manages a team of trade marketing professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback;
- Analyses market research data to identify sales opportunities, emerging trends, and promotional strategies;
- Stays current on industry trends and best trade marketing practices within the food & beverage sector, including shopper insights and digital marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in trade marketing within FMCG industry, ideally with a leading Food & Beverage company (at least 2 years in managerial function);
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing trade marketing programs that have demonstrably increased sales growth, brand awareness, and market share;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels within the trade channel;
- Experience in managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and marketing analytics tools.
Additional Skills (desirable):
- Experience with trade promotion management (TPM) software;
- Understanding of category management principles within the food & beverage retail space;
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and their application to trade marketing initiatives;
- Experience working with Nielsen data or similar market research tools.
