Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant
Terre des hommes is looking for a proactive, energetic, and organised Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, to join its team in Kyiv (with frequent visits in different bases), to support in the implementation of its projects. Contract: until the end of the year with the possibility of extension.
Probation period: 1month.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Working within the framework established by the organization, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer ensures the consistency and quality of the delegation’s monitoring and evaluation strategies and activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists project managers and staff in managing quality data collection, analysis and synthesis.
- Supports the development and piloting of monitoring tools to be used during activities and assistance delivery
- Trains field staff to collect data (according to project indicators) and understand monitoring tools.
- Carries out data collection activities
- Analyzes collected data for reporting, organizational learning
- Advises staff/volunteers on data collection and understanding of tools.
- Compiles data reports and shares results with project managers.
- Assists external evaluators in conducting evaluations.
- Supports the development of donor reports and internal monthly and annual reports.
- Documents and maintains the monitoring and evaluation database.
- Liaises with the M&E Specialist on potentially vulnerable cases or sensitive issues that may be observed at the local level.
- Inform the supervisor of any security-related incidents that may occur
- Resolve problems and conflicts that may arise during monitoring and respond to minor complaints from beneficiaries.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist on monitoring achievements and challenges
- Prepare periodic monitoring reports to provide programs with accurate and useful data to inform project design

YOUR PROFILE
Qualification:
- Education: University degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Sociology or other relevant studies.
- Language: Excellent oral and writing skills in English (В1), Ukrainian is preferred.
Previous experience:
- Minimum 1 years' experience in similar position is preferred.
- Previous experiences in M&E or management with NGOs is an advantage.
- Previous work in research is an advantage.
Skills:
- Expertise in project cycle management, detailed knowledge of concepts, processes and tools, and experience in leading participative processes
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams in M&E and IM fields or ine NGO Management
- Expertise in developing, planning and implementing systems, procedures and tools in the M&E and IM fields
- Knowledge of and experience with quantitative and qualitative methods in the humanitarian aid/development sector. Experience in collecting and analysing data
- Experience in preparing, planning and monitoring consultations in the M&E field
- Awareness and knowledge of ethical issues related to M&E: do no harm and sensitivity to gender and diversity
- Knowledge of and professional experience in the children’s rights field (protection and health) in the humanitarian aid/development context
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel, and experience with automated accounting and financial software, Kobo and Google documents.
