The National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) announces a competition for the position of Chief Communications Officer for Alliance UA CSO
Alliance UA CSO is an initiative group, think tank, focused on ensuring local leadership in responding to humanitarian crises and setting the foundation for recovery processes in Ukraine. 16 Ukrainian CSOs which united around this idea representing various areas of work of Ukrainian civil society — from humanitarian to capacity building and development.
The Chief Communications Officer develops and implements the communication objectives and communication plans, illustrates both the mission and success of the Alliance UA CSO activity by utilizing various marketing and branding techniques, including storytelling and visual communications. S/he will design and distribute various internal and external communication products on various platforms including EAlliance UA CSO’s own communication channels and external media.
Success Indicators:
- Timely Preparation of Communication Products: Your success will be measured by your ability to produce communication products efficiently upon request. This includes delivering high-quality materials within specified timeframes.
- Level of Cooperation and Synergy: The success of your role will be evaluated based on the level of cooperation and synergy built between the Alliance UA CSO members Communication Departments. Your ability to foster collaboration, coordination, and effective communication between these teams will be essential.
Scope and Impact of Organized Advocacy Campaigns: The success indicator will consider the level and scope of advocacy campaigns you organize. This includes assessing the reach, engagement, and impact of these campaigns in promoting the Alliance UA CSO’s goals and priorities.
Essential Tasks:
- To lead coordination and cooperation between Alliance UA CSO members communications departments.
- ? Maintain coherence between the communicational components of Alliance UA CSO Strategy and the organization’s general communication strategy and approach.
- ? Ensure the timely preparation of communicational products, such as news articles, digests, positional papers, communication briefings, and narratives.
- ? Coordinate the efforts of designers, editors, illustrators, and videographers involved in creating materials.
- ? Provide support in planning and implementing communication-related activities to effectively execute the Alliance UA CSO Strategy, encompassing various initiatives such as information events, press briefings, campaigns, round tables, and meetings.
- ? Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement; Maintain web page of Alliance UA CSO.
Additional Tasks:
- ? Prepare speaking points and reactive lines for various occasions in collaboration with the Alliance UA CSO members.
- ? Collaborate with Alliance UA CSO members and beyond to coordinate joint communicational advocacy campaigns.
- ? Prepare reports and briefings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in communication campaigns and strategy development.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Proven social media and networking expertise.
- Experience of coordinating communication advocacy campaign
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Experience of working with social networks and different media outlets
- Knowledge of current trends in communication advocacy and digital marketing
- Ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging to support advocacy efforts
- Ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines
- Good coordination and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of working with AI tools.
