Program Summary: Project HOPE is mobilizing to provide health and humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons in Ukraine as well as refugees in neighboring countries fleeing the ongoing conflict. Project HOPE is in contact with the WHO led Health Cluster in Ukraine, which has noted critical needs in primary health care.
Position Overview: The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support to HR team throughout the hiring process, work with personal documents of employees, preparing reports, organizing of onboarding process.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Serve as point of contact with benefits.
- Assist with the recruitment process by searching, identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
- Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Assistance in payroll process and resolve any payroll errors.
- Complete termination paperwork.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices

Educational background: Bachelor’s/Master's degree in relevant area required.
Years of Experience: 1−2 years of relevant experience
Language Skills: Ukrainian/Russian (fluent), English (minimum — intermediate)
