Job Title: International Freight Logistics Coordinator
Location: Remote
Company Overview: We are a dynamic US-based company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of goods, with operations in the US and Colombia. We are looking for an experienced International Freight Logistics Coordinator to work in our processes and with our team to support our supply chain, ensure timely delivery of raw materials, and handle the logistics of finished goods distribution. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of our production and distribution lines, and the candidate will work remotely supporting our international freight and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Freight & Shipment Management: Oversee the international shipment of raw goods to our manufacturing facilities in the US and Colombia and manage outbound logistics from Colombia to the US.
- Quoting & Cost Management: Obtain competitive quotes for ocean and land freight, ensuring cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Document Management: Handle all relevant shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export/import documentation.
- Port Operations Coordination: Ensure smooth operations at ports, tracking shipments, and coordinating with port authorities and shipping agents.
- Freight Forwarding: Liaise with freight forwarders and transport companies to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.
- Amazon Logistics: Manage the transportation of goods from US facilities to Amazon warehouses, ensuring adherence to Amazon’s logistics requirements.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors, including freight carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse managers.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities for improving the logistics process and reducing costs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3−5 years of experience in international freight logistics with a focus on ocean and land freight.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of port operations, shipping documentation, customs procedures, and international freight forwarding.
- Costing & Quoting: Proven ability to quote freight costs and negotiate rates with carriers.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (required); fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in logistics management software preferred, able to learn new systems and technologies, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to English and Spanish to coordinate with US, Colombian, and international teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistics and shipment issues in a timely manner.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Amazon logistics and warehousing requirements.
- Familiarity with both US and Colombian freight regulations and customs procedures.
- Knowledge of intermodal shipping and transportation methods.
