Striga is a single set of APIs for businesses in Europe to embed regulated & compliant payments infrastructure including crypto custody, trading, banking and card issuing. This means our customers are companies that are building the next Revolut/N26/Coinbase/Kraken/MetaMask etc. Building in the digital asset space in Europe is no longer a walk in the park requiring constant attention to regulatory changes and being the very first company to win a regulatory license after a year long debacle with the Estonian regulator, we’ve built our product from scratch, encompassing the most common traditional finance functions (Issuing Visa cards/IBANs) and critical crypto functions (Creating compliant custody/trading wallets).
We’re growing faster than we can keep up with, have Stripe like ambitions and you’d be one of the earliest engineers in the team working directly with the founder & core team responsible for Striga’s infrastructure to date.
Requirements:
- Strong Typescript proficiency with demonstrated experience in building and shipping backend infrastructure
- Experience developing distributed, resilient and high-performing backend services using Node.js .
- Familiarity with test driven development and functional programming practices
- Experience with web services (consuming and creating) with REST, gRPC and database drivers for MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Experience working with Digital Ocean, AWS, GCP or similar.
- Experience with Docker, containerizing and CI/CD workflows, would be a great bonus
- Clear written and oral communication, being able to work both independently and collaboratively. We’re a small team and do not micro-manage any member. Being able to commit and deliver consistently is a must.
