Hours: Part-Time (20 hours per week), with potential for full-time Reports to: Social Media Director
About Us: At Media Components, we’re passionate about connecting with our audience through impactful and creative social media content. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Social Media Manager to join our team and help drive the growth and engagement of our social channels.
Position Overview: We are looking for a talented part-time Social Media Manager with a flair for creativity, content creation, and strategy execution. The role has potential for full-time depending on performance and business needs. You will work closely with the Social Media Director, contributing to the development of our social media presence, creating engaging posts, managing content calendars, and fostering our online community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Posting: Create, curate, and publish high-quality, engaging content (posts, stories, graphics, videos) tailored to each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Social Media Strategy & Calendar Management: Assist in planning and maintaining the social media content calendar, ensuring all posts align with the company’s branding and campaign goals.
- Community Engagement: Engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and foster positive interactions with our community.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and report on social media performance, making recommendations for improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Director: Work closely with the Social Media Director to brainstorm creative ideas, develop campaigns, and execute strategies that grow our online presence.
- Account Development: Participate in the overall growth and development of our social media accounts, helping drive engagement and reach.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing social media accounts and content creation.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sendible).
- Strong knowledge of various social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with graphic design or video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
- Passion for staying up-to-date on the latest social media trends and tools.
- Working in project management tools like Monday.com
- Being able to understand and reply in English in tasks and emails. No verbal English is required, but it’s a plus.
- Be available in EST time zone. 2−3 hours overlapping of your working hours and EST 9am-5pm is required for communication with the rest of the team.
