MEAL Agent
COUNTRY: Ukraine
REPORTS TO: Area MEAL Manager
LOCATION: Dnipro
GENERAL MISSION:
The MEAL Agent is responsible for data collection (by interviewing beneficiaries in-person and on the phone), data entry and cleaning, data analysis and visualization.
MISSIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the overall guidance of the Area MEAL Manager, and under direct supervision of Information Management Officer/MEAL Officer the MEAL Agent should:
- Be aware of and perfectly practice the basic humanitarian principles.
- Adhere to the rules of internal regulations, safety rules, and labor discipline.
- Participate in training and activities aimed at improving skills.
- Be able to organize meetings at all levels and conduct interviews at data collection sites with sample groups and key informants.
- Сonducting of telephone surveys with respondents and, if necessary, trips to settlements, communication with the local population, and representatives of local communities on their participation in the project by interviewing these people on the ground.
- Ensure error-free input, storage, and processing of entered information in accordance with the instructions.
- Be able to evaluate and conduct an initial analysis of the collected information.
- Identify any data input errors and data cleaning.
- Prepare reports on progress in the implementation of the program.
- Coordinate their work with management, take an active part in discussing plans and results of work and any other issues.
- Always follow the instructions and guidelines of the team leader, the job description of the data collector and the code of conduct.

PROFILE SOUGHT
Experience
Preferable:
- Experience in humanitarian organizations
- Experience as a telephone operator
- Experience in conducting research (including sociological)
- Experience in mapping

Skills
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of software: Word, Excel
- Highly developed teamwork skills
- Highly developed communication skills

Preferable:
- Knowledge of software: Survey CTO (or Kobo, Google forms), Power BI
- Writing reports in English

Personal qualities:
- Lifelong learning
- High level of self-organization.
- Be able to work with a minimum level of coordination

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Contract: Employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation) Fixed-Term
Type of employment: Full-time
Benefits Package:
- 30 calendar days for annual leaves
- 12 days of internal wellbeing paid leaves annually (pro-rata)
- Medical Insurance for HI staff and one dependent (tax paid by HI)

- Relocation package might be granted for the managerial positions and key positions if needed
