Job Title: Estimator
Job Location: Remote Work Schedule: 9:00 AM — 6:00 PM (US Eastern Standard Time)
Job Responsibilities:
1. *Clarify Scope*:
- Review and analyze construction documents and designer drawings to fully understand the scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to clarify any ambiguities in the plans.

2. *Take-Offs and Calculation*:
- Perform detailed material take-offs and square footage calculations to estimate labor and material costs accurately.
- Use tools like *Bluebeam* to measure and calculate areas for materials and labor.

3. *Marking Up Plans*:
- Annotate and mark up construction plans to outline the scope and highlight key areas that need attention or special considerations for cost estimation.

4. *Proposal Preparation*:
- Create detailed, accurate proposals in *QuickBooks* to provide clients with estimates based on your take-offs and scope of work analysis.
- Ensure proposals are clear, professional, and easy to understand for clients.

5. *Material Count Documentation*:
- Use *Excel* to maintain and organize material counts, ensuring that all required materials are accounted for accurately.

- Ability to perform accurate calculations and take-offs to estimate labor and material costs effectively.

2. *Effective Communication*:
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members, vendors, and clients to ensure clarity on the project scope and requirements.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with others in a remote team environment.

3. *Software Proficiency*:
- *Bluebeam*: Comfortable using Bluebeam for digital plan markup and material take-offs.
- *Excel*: Skilled in using Excel for organizing material counts, cost breakdowns, and project data.
- *QuickBooks*: Experience using QuickBooks for preparing and managing project proposals and cost estimates.

Qualifications*:
- Prior experience as an estimator in the construction industry or a similar role.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, material take-offs, and project estimating.
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel, and QuickBooks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
