About Ukrainian Patriot:
Ukrainian Patriot is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering the Ukrainian community through advocacy, education, humanitarian aid, and cultural initiatives. We are seeking a passionate Social Media Manager to join our team and help amplify our mission by crafting impactful content, engaging our online community, and raising awareness about the critical work we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to raise awareness of Ukrainian Patriot’s mission, initiatives, and events across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
- Create compelling, shareable content (text, images, videos, stories) that highlights our programs, success stories, and key advocacy messages.
- Manage the organisation’s social media profiles, including content creation, scheduling, posting, and moderating.
- Engage with followers, answer questions, and create a welcoming, informed community through direct interaction and regular updates.
- Collaborate with the communications team and partners to share impactful stories of individuals and communities benefiting from Ukrainian Patriot’s work.
- Monitor social media trends, current events, and online discussions relevant to Ukraine and global support efforts.
- Analyse social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, refine strategies, and increase engagement.
- Organise and lead campaigns to promote fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, and critical calls to action for Ukrainian advocacy.
- Support media outreach efforts, including sharing press releases, news, and updates with a broader audience.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, particularly in the non-profit or advocacy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and trends, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, impactful messages in both English and Ukrainian.
- Creative mindset with experience in content creation, particularly in the visual space (e.g., graphics, videos).
- Knowledge of social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
- Ability to engage and build an online community of supporters, donors, and volunteers.
- Experience in fundraising campaigns, advocacy, or awareness-raising efforts is a plus.
- Passion for supporting Ukraine and advocating for social justice and human rights.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the unique challenges and needs of Ukrainian communities, both within Ukraine and in the diaspora.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing software.
- Experience working in a non-profit environment or for a humanitarian cause is a plus.
- Ability to speak and write in Ukrainian fluently.
